Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, the paediatric oncology community has been actively coordinating efforts to transfer young cancer patients to specialized centres in Europe. The SAFER Ukraine initiative, led by SIOPE, CCI-E, and St. Jude, has helped transfer over 1,300 paediatric cancer patients to treatment facilities in:

ERN PaedCan will continue to build on these efforts, working closely with SIOPE, CCI-E, and European Clinical Trial Groups (ECTG) to support Ukrainian healthcare providers. We are also exploring exchange programs for Ukrainian medical teams to help strengthen expertise and collaboration.
Additionally, we advocate for CPMS (Clinical Patient Management System) support in Ukrainian, ensuring better access to virtual advisory services for patients in need.
